Coaches

Lea is our founder and Head of Rehab. She has played basketball for 16 years. As a teen, she was incredibly passionate about the sport. However, Lea struggled to admit to herself, and her parents that she wanted to play basketball professionally in her teenage years. She put that idea to the side and went on to university to earn a degree in Physical Therapy. After earning her degree, Lea finally committed to her teenage dream at the age of 23. She reached the professional league at age 26. After playing, Lea has traveled Europe and learned from the top rehabilitation coaches in addition to her working for the female basketball Liga Endea team in Murcia.

Lea has a strong desire to change athletes lives and is committed to giving young athletes better guidance and the preparation that she has received.

Maziar, our Head of Strength and Conditioning, has played football for over 20 years. He has worked at Canada’s highest level of sport, the Canadian Sport Institute Pacific. There he trained current and future Olympians. Right now, Maziar is completing a PhD in Sports Science, where he researches the correlations between training status and injury risk in soccer players.

Maz and Lea both have an M.Sc. in High-Performance Sport: Strength & Conditioning and are both certified as Strength & Conditioning Specialists (CSCS) from the NSCA.
